July 19, 2011, The band Cheap Trick was Looking For Replacement Gear After Storms Claim their guitars and drums – Reports say up to 90 mile an hour winds collapsed the trussing over the stage.

Band members were not hurt, but the bands Manager Dave Frey was behind the drums and remembers seeing cymbals flying. The band had already run for cover but the bands driver was hurt during the storm.

This is a busy time of year for drum corps through the nation. The Drums Across America Tour brings drum crops into tough weather conditions, the Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps prepares with water and electrolyte tablets.

They even have an EMT and Physical trainer on staff to protect the members and be ready for the grueling preparation needed for the hot temperatures. Stay cool out there drum corps members!
